Zumba workshop with Beto Perez, creator of Zumba and Priscilla Mirabal, Zumba Education Specialist (zumbaok.com).
This was an awesome experience and a great opportunity to learn from the creator. Also, I was fortunate to meet other instructors from around the world. The weekend was a memorable one.
Priscilla, thank you for bringing Beto to Texas.

ZUMBA San Antonio sponsored a “One Plate at a Time” food drive for the San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB). The poverty rate in Southwest Texas is 20%, and nourishing hungry people is the first step to getting them back on their feet. Over 300 lbs of food were collected and donated to the SAFB. Members and non-members of “Anytime Fitness Club” in San Antonio, TX were encouraged to help those in need in their community. By donating three or more non- perishable food items, each member was able to take a ZUMBA session for FREE!
With the support and contributions made from the “One Plate at a Time” food drive, the San Antonio Food Bank is able to continue to support a wide variety of effective hunger fighting programs that bring food to everyone from children to seniors in the San Antonio area. Due to the success and participation of its members, ZUMBA San Antonio plans to make their “One Plate at a Time” food drive a semi- annual event as part of their community out reach activities.
